Holt Cemetery

This is the cemetery for poor folks in New Orleans. It is the only cemetery in New Olreans where they bury people in the ground. It is in really bad shape. One group worked here today with the group from Houston Tx.

4 days left :)

In less than 4 days our team will be in New Orleans, and begin a life changing week! The Lord has a plan of each member of our team, and we are all so excited to begin HIS work! This is going to be a week of meeting new people, helping strangers, praying, and growing closer to our Savior Jesus! Please continue to pray for us. Pray for whatever you feel the Lord has place on your heart, including safe travel, servant hearts, and the love of Jesus to just pour out of us! Be sure to check back here throughout the upcoming week to see pictures and hear our daily stories.
Blessings!

We are ready to SERVE!

We leave in 13 days!
THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us both spiritually and financially, the Lord has blessed our team in so many ways! We have raised just under to $10,000 through fundraising and personal family/friend donations, and are very excited for our trip :)
Scripture says, "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed..." Proverbs 11:25 (The Message), so thank you to everyone who has blessed us, and may God richly bless you and your loved ones!
We are all SO EXCITED! We finished all of our official trainings & fundraising, and we are now physically preparing for this mission that our Lord has called each of us to do! Please continue praying for us, and be sure to check this sight each day during our trip, July 19th - 25th! :)

NEWS!!!

We now have a group on Facebook:

We've been busy planning various fundraisers, and wanted to take this opportunity to THANK EVERYONE who has supported us!! To date, we've raised almost almost $2,000!
Here is a list of upcoming events we are planning:

Wednesday, March 18 & Thursday, March 19th: Lowe's Training
-The Mission Team will undergo a two hour training to "prep" us for the amazing work we have been called to do in New Orleans! From site safety to sheet rocking, from painting to beginning electrical work...we will be busy! Please Pray for us!!
Sunday, March 15th-April, 5th: Encouragement Eggs are on sale at Grace Lutheran Church, Nashua, NH
- Encouragement Eggs are small plastic eggs with a string attached to them. Every year people purchase these eggs, write a note of "Eggcouragement", love, etc. to family and friends, then hang the eggs on our "Encouragement Egg Tree". The New Orleans Team collect all of the eggs, put them in separate bags for each person, and distributes the eggs! It's a really cool way to show people Jesus' love :)
Sunday, May 3rd-Sunday, May 24th: "The Sweet Life"
-Tubes of Mini M&M's are slightly adjusted (a really special saying is taped to each tube) and distributed to members & friends of our Mission Team, Grace Lutheran Church, and Messiah Lutheran Church. Each person who takes a tube gets to eat the M&M's, then fill the tube with changes, cash, and/or checks...all to help our team!
Saturday, May 30th: Jambalaya Dinner & Silent Auction @ Grace Lutheran Church
-Our Mission Team will host a really yummy, New Orleans, classic dinner! There will be lots of items up for "auction" (i.e. a handmade quilt, Longhorn gift certificate, original artwork, and MUCH MORE!) Everyone is welcome! Tickets and additional information will be available by late April.

As everyone can see, we are really busy! So, PLEASE keep us in your prayers. If you are unable to attend our events but would like to make a donation towards our trip, please contact Alison Efstathiou at youthdirector@glcmsnh.org THANK YOU!!
